What is MicroNeedling?

Updated: Mar 2, 2023

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure with the use of thin needles. These thin needles create tiny holes to the top layer of the skin (epidermis). The creation of tiny holes to the skin help stimulate the skins healing process. This signifies that collagen and elastin is produced. Collagen and Elastin are proteins that help your skin be firm and smooth.

Multiple treatments may be needed to achieve your goals.

In some cases patients can have dry and flaky skin, which moisturizer helps alleviate it. After first session of micro needling from case to case more than 1 treatment may be needed to achieve goals desired. Each treatment is performed 3 to 8 weeks apart from each other. Please keep in mind that it can take 3 to 6 months to see results. After it is recommended for a once a year treatment should be done for maintenance.
